What is the MOOC Of The Year?

The MOOC Of The Year ceremony, honours the best online training of the year. It is the first event that rewards and gives visibility to the actors involved in the development of « MOOCs ».

Organized by the My MOOC platform, this event brings together the main players of MOOC, enthusiasts, organisers, companies, universities, those who explore and produce MOOCs, but also those who use, compare and rate them. The MOOC of The Year rewards the best online training devices. However, beyond the competition, it is a great opportunity to connect and physically bring MOOC users, designers and businesses together.

Last year, the main players and influencers of the sector, many universities/schools and companies were present to attend this event. The ceremony is back this year, given the success it received in 2017.

The jury is made up of professionals in business training, industry experts and academics. And this year, 10 categories are represented:

• The best MOOC designed by a university/school
• The best MOOC designed by a company
• The most innovative company
• The serial ‘mooceur’
• Teaser of the Year
• The best prize of the jury
• The internet users’ favourite
• The best MOOC device in a company
• The speaker of the year
• The MOOC of the year 2017

Applications were open until 5 January. 5 nominees will be announced in each category and it will then be up to the jury to decide. Except for the last category « MOOC of the year 2017 » which is actually an online vote where everyone can support their favourite MOOC.

This year, Mandarine Academy becomes a sponsor of the MOOC Of The Year event. On 23 January 2018, the jury and Internet users will deliver a verdict and reward the best MOOC at a ceremony organised by My MOOC.
