The labor and skills market is constantly evolving. Changes so important that 85% of the jobs needed in 2030 do not exist at this time.

To fill these gaps, the State has deployed a budget of €15 billion as part of its skills investment plan. The objective of that plan is focused on 3 essential points:

  • Develop the skills of low-skilled jobseekers, especially young workers.
  • Meet the recruitment needs of companies.
  • Act on the transformation of skills to encourage the digital transformation and the ecological transition of companies.

This is why e-learning is a sustainable and effective solution to these major challenges. The fluidity and adaptability of training has made it possible to quickly train companies on hybrid working methods, shared between working from home and working in the office. Training courses are constantly evolving and consistently excelling to best prepare the employees of tomorrow.

Tailor-made courses

For several years, new modules have emerged on the training market. Still unknown in France, they offer you to train only on tools that interest you. A business started by Skillsoft, MasterClass, MySkillCamp or LinkedIn Learning.

The advantage for individuals is the possibility of paying an e-learning training subscription monthly or annually, following the same principle as streaming platforms.

The second benefit is above all that these new key actors change the point of view that one can have on training. Individuals train to value themselves, not to value the company in which they work.

Learner generated content

Learner generated content is based on the principle of the inverted pyramid: it is no longer the trainers who produce the content on which the learners will work but the other way around.

Indeed, it is the employees themselves who will film themselves and indicate their points of weakness on a tool. It will then be up to the trainer to design a course adapting teaching skills to solve this problem.

The advantage of this method is to allow more interaction with a logic of going back. In addition, it gives learners a certain freedom in their training with the possibility of making it fully customizable based on the problems encountered in the field.

Learning at your own pace

There are several ways to allow your employees to work at their own pace. One of them is inherited from the Anglo-Saxon system, called « Learning in the Flow of Work« . The goal is to learn on a daily basis, and no longer on a time slot dedicated to training. This technique is based on voluntary learning when the learner actually feels the need. As a result, he/she is all the more involved in his/her training and can see all the opportunity it provides.

Learning at your own pace can also mean being completely free of the form that your learning and content take. The development of Learning Hubs allows employees to train both online with virtual classes and with a trainer in person.

The latest technologies can also be used to adapt the content to the learner’s skill level, tools and position. This is the case of artificial intelligence that has been implemented in « adaptive learning » courses.

The goal is to provide employees with courses that correspond to their working needs and methods: the duration, theme and/or format are fully customized.

Learning nugget

A very strange word to define a surprising training method. Nugget learning is simply giving « pieces » or « crumbs » of ultra-focused information to retain only the essentials.

This information takes the form of « snack content« . In other words, we will find iconographies, masterclasses, or mini quizzes to learn and test the skills of the learner.

The major advantage of this module is that the employee never experiences information overload or infobesity. Nugget learning is a clear and practical format, which makes a point of giving your employees the keys to succeed.

Listen to learn

With 179 million listeners and downloads around the world, the podcast has remained for several years a major medium, in full evolution. A method gradually taken up by e-learning, with the emergence of podcasts on digital transformation.

The use of a different mean than those commonly used, allows learners to bring training more easily into their professional environment. This audio ecosystem is a tool particularly well suited to knowledge gain and teaching. Indeed, audio promotes reflection, and this much more than video. Podcasts allow you to really engage in a topic and be fully tuned to understand a tool.
